dMUD: The Arcade & Economy
At its core, dMUD is a persistent game engine. Users interact with mini-games to earn rewards, which can be used to progress within the RPG elements of the system.
đšī¸ Mini-Games
The "Arcade" is a central hub for various interactive TUI games.
- Arcade Classics: Skill-based games like Snake, Tetris, or Pac-Man.
- Luck & Gambling: RNG-based games such as Slots or Blackjack.
- Social & Trivia: Knowledge-based games that can be played solo or in groups.
- Simulation: Complex "idle" games like the Farming system, which involves planting, growing, and harvesting over time.
đ° The Progression Loop
- Gold: The primary currency earned through games. It is used to purchase items, equipment, and room upgrades in the Shop.
- XP & Leveling: Actions throughout the world award Experience Points. Leveling up increases a user's prestige and unlocks higher-tier rooms and features.
- RPG Stats: In specific "RPG Rooms" (like the Meadow or Tavern), a user's HP and Mana are displayed and managed, enabling light roleplaying mechanics.
đĻ Items & Inventory
The Item System tracks everything a user owns.
- Consumables: Items like food or potions that provide temporary buffs.
- Equipment: Permanent items that may alter stats or provide special abilities.
- Trading: Mechanisms for users to exchange items or Gold.
